The whole damn system is guilty
Oh my God! Look at her-
Phones are little boxes of anxiety
Two Parents. Five siblings. No family.
I can't take it anymore, please!

Good job Valerie! I really enjoy the fact that not every single story has the same structure. I also like that these stories include a variety of emotions expressed in it! My favorite though id the third since it could be created into many unique stories.

I'm Valerie and I'm starting this blogger page as a requirement for my english course. I do not know what will become of this thing, but I hope it becomes something worth the effort I put into it. Just some basic info about me. I live in the wonderful windy city, Chicago and am still a teenager. My favorite movie is "The Perks of being a Wallflower" (I cry every time I watch it). When it comes to music I don't have a favorite type or anything, but I completely dislike what rap has become.

I enjoy reading and writing, and have written poetry for nearly four years now. I don't think of as poetry as a way to express yourself. I feel as if it's more than that. When I write a piece and 'finish' it, it's no longer a part of me. It stands on its own and will be able to live much longer than I. I do not know how to put into words what I see poetry as because it's as if I'm trying to count the stars. I start and get to maybe 20, but then i lose count because its all too much.
